Dan Bradfield, a native Washingtonian who has lived in our Chevy Chase neighborhood for more than a decade, represents a smart, common sense and cordial approach to the Commission. Dan would like to address pressing community issues such as pedestrian safety, street improvement and community preservation. Recent additions to our neighborhood, including a new condo building and restaurants on Connecticut Avenue, have raised concerns about scale and density that require us all to be more attentive to zoning changes, parking congestion, street conditions, and pedestrian walkways/crossings. Dan would like to make these issues and Connecticut Avenue beatification top priorities for our area if elected ANC-3G6 Commissioner. Additionally, promoting neighborhood participation in addressing community concerns is important to Dan, so he will proactively pursue ways to encourage increased dialogue among residents in ANC-3G6.
Dan has an M.B.A. from Georgetown University, an M.A. in Government & Public Policy from Johns Hopkins University as well as a B.A. in Economics from the University of Maryland. He has worked in public policy and advocacy for 25 years. Throughout his career, Dan has worked collaboratively, often with multiple constituencies, by finding common ground to solve problems.
